KD DIGITAL GAMES IN EDUCATION MATURITY MODEL AND MORE...

Teaching methods are playing catch-up to meet the needs and learning styles of students both today, and in the future. Digital Game-Based Learning has been proven to be able to meet these needs by motivating learners through fun.

One big advantage Digital Game-Based Learning has over traditional teaching methods is that it is enormously versatile and adaptable to almost any subject, information or skill. Plus, the usage of a highly interactive digital medium allows learners to fully engage themselves in the learning process.

Knowledge Director passionately believes that learning should be fun and experiential. And that one’s learning experience is most optimal when the learning is engaging. To help push the cause of integrating game-based learning into today’s curriculum, Knowledge Director’s team of experts has developed a Maturity Model for the use of Digital Games in Education. We hope this will help move more educators into integrating games into their teaching, allowing games to be infused into the curriculum.

DIGITAL GAME INCLUSION FOR TEACHERS

Our next generation learning solutions – learningDIRECTOR™ and pptnLIVE™ - enable teachers to be included in the ICT evolution, allowing them to switch easily from ‘digital immigrants’ to ‘digital natives’. With these tools, they can easily create their own digital curriculum with innovative learning approaches, such as games and mobile learning, without any programming skills. Our core focus is very much on the teachers – be it tools or programmes to help the digital inclusion of teachers, in our view, very often left out in the ICT development process.

NEW!
Knowledge Director will be launching its gameICT™ Programme in December 2006. A world’s first, gamesICT comprises Student Curriculum (integrated with Games) and Professional Development to ensure complete infusion of games and interactive digital media into teaching and learning.
